The forth national competition Best bus driver of the year was held in June

 On 11th of June  2010 on the territory of  the professional High School for transport in the town of  Stara Zagora was held the forth national competition Best Bus driver of the year. It was organized by  the Avtobusi and microbusi magazine. The event coincided with the 5th  anniversary of  the magazine.

 Thirteen drivers from all over the country participated in the competition. Special guests to  the competition were the   representatives from JSP – the public transport in Skopje,  Mr. Klaas Helger - representative of  VDL  CBC for Bulgaria, representatives of the Stara Zagora Municipality, 50 students from the professional High School of transport from Sofia, 50  students from professional High School of transport from the town of Vinogradec, as well as  many students and teachers from our hosts: the professional High School of transport in Stara Zagora.

 The following competitors participated in the competition :

11.Staikov, Blagoi, from Public Transport Plovdiv Ltd.

12.Hajiev, Valentin, from Fidanka Kazakova13 Ltd., Plovdiv

As is the tradition, the test in the beginning of the competition consisted of  60 multiple choice theoretical questions, covering the rules and regulations for safety driving, European law and rules for the rest  periods of drivers according to Regulation  561/2006 and the application of the EU AETR agreement, correct tachograph usage, correct filling of  work journals and timetables , documents for different types of traveling, basic technical knowledge for buses, basic elements of the technical checking , State Automobile Inspection checking , fees, medical examinations before departure, daily instructions, first aid in case of  road accidents .

 Classification:

1-st position: Azmi Azmiev,   Wonda  Ltd. Viatovo – 47 points.

2-nd position: Biser Borisov,   Odans  Ltd. Plovdiv – 43 points.

3-d position: Petar Nikolov,   Biomed Ltd. , Plovdiv – 41  points.

 
After a short break , the practical exam was held on  МАN, Lion Coach, which was provided by the sponsor – the  Municipality of Stara Zagora . Accent was put on the tachograph’s usage, good driver’s skills, fast manoeuvres and reactions, practical exercises – proper passing of cones - front and reverse gear and appropriate parking of the vehicle. 

Classification:

1-st position and 2-nd position:  Biser borisov from “Odans” Sofia, with 10 points and Petar Nikolov from  “Biomet” Sofia, with 10 points

3-d position: Azmi Azmiev,   Wonda  Ltd. Viatovo with 8 points


The last part for the participants was the practical exam for first aid. That last test was organized with the active help and support of the Bulgarian Red Cross.

Azmi Azmiev,   Wonda  Ltd. Viatovo - 1st place

Jivko Ivanov Avtomobile transport Stara Zagora – 2th place

Biser Borisov “Odans Travel” Ltd.  - 3Th place

Boris Boychev Public Transport Plovdiv  - 4th place


After the competition, the three finalists were announced:


FINAL CLASSIFICATION

1-st position: Azmi Azmiev, Wonda Ltd. Ruse  - 1st place

The first award included an Honorary  Diploma and many presents, provided by the Municipality of Stara Zagora, which were handed by Mr. Belcho Belchev, deputy  mayor of the municipality of Stara Zagora

2nd position: Biser Biserov, “Odans” Ltd. Sofia

The award included an Honorary Diploma and many presents handed out by Mr. Ivailo Lazarov, general representative of General Magul, main sponsor of the event

3th position: Petar Nikolov, “Biomed” Ltd. Sofia The award included an Honorary Diploma and presents handed out by Mr. Atanas Dimitrov, general manager of  Golden Mercury Ltd. 

The winners received additional awards and presents from the sponsors of the competition: Federal Mogul. Ltd, Verkol Ltd.,  Golden Mercury Ltd., auto cosmetics from Bomar Bulgaria Ltd, croissants from Pain D”Or, as well as special literature and special Diplomas from the Bulgarian Red Cross.
